For GUK, the careful use of resources and environmentally oriented, energy-efficient action play a key role. This begins with energy generation. We rely on energy from renewable resources. Our photovoltaic systems produce about one-third of our total energy requirements. We obtain the rest entirely from hydropower.
Recycling is a top priority for us. All recyclable materials generated during production, such as chips, offcuts or remnants, are fed into the recycling loop and recycled. We prioritize precise separation and disposal of the materials.
The new construction of our assembly hall optimizes production processes through efficient room design, modern technologies and the highest safety standards. This strengthens our competitiveness and creates a sustainable working environment.
Cultural and social responsibility is part of our company's mission statement. Company founder Anton Kunzmann was already involved in many ways. Be it the financing of the Wellendingen church organ or the founding of the non-profit association of turned parts manufacturers (GVD) to educate people about various professions such as cutting machine operators. Anton Kunzmann embodied these values, which are still lived on today by the managing generation.
Our commitment extends beyond regional borders. Supporting organizations that pursue humanitarian projects is important to us. To this end, we provide financial assistance to projects run by SOS Children's Villages, World Vision, German Children's Cancer Aftercare, and Lebenshilfe für Behinderte.
We also support local aid organizations such as the German Red Cross and Malteser International.
As part of the school-business cooperation with Leibniz-Gymnasium Rottweil (LG), we offer students the opportunity to carry out an “Extended BOGY”, in which projects are developed and prepared over a 3-month period and then carried out during the BOGY week. This involves getting to know all the important areas of the company and its processes in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the profession and the company.
